Last week my sister Kara came to visit from VA. We always have a good time when she's here, so we were so glad she could come out and stay with us. Here's some highlights of her visit to UT.
As soon as she arrived we could tell her stylish ways had rubbed off on Aiden!

Kara treated us to lunch at Tucanos! What an awesome place. It was my first time and I definitely will be going back!

Emma ate noodles from the salad bar and loved them. Even their salad bar was amazing! It was hard to pick what to try.

I think Aiden's eating a fried banana in this picture.

Happy to be at Tucanos with the green light (or wooden thing) still on for more meat!

Thanks Kara- it was SOOooo good!

We went to Thanksgiving Point to check out the shops, eat lunch in the Deli, and take a carriage ride at Farm Country.

Aiden fell in love with this panda in the toy shop there; so much that he wouldn't let us take it from him to pay for it! (we just used another one) So Kara bought it for him and now his monkey HooHoo has some competition!

This is an optical illusion because Emma is NOT that big. Everyone keeps guessing she's 4 or 5 months old because she so small, but she's 7 months!

When my 2 other sisters and my parents were in town they were all amazed at how long my hair was. They said "Don't cut it! It looks so good long!" I'm sorry guys, but against your advice I got it cut last week! I hope you like it. Kara and I went to a beauty school (Bon Losee) for a facial for Kara and a haircut for me. I didn't go in with the
intention of getting a short cut. I just went in thinking I'll see what they suggest and if it sounds good I'll try it. It'll grow right? I just prayed I wouldn't have a Jo moment from Little Women when I got home. "My hair!" (as she sobs) Well I have to say I like it. I'm starting to get use to it now. I like it a lot better curly than straight (it shows off all the layers better and is much cuter), so it'll probably be curly a lot till it gets longer. Here's the before and after.

I've been afraid to get it cut because I didn't want to get short "mom hair" that makes you look older than you are and is boring. I wanted to get
more stylish, not less- something more modern and fun than my boring long hair that was taking over! I feel like I got it right this time. What do you think?
For our next adventure Aiden stayed with his Grandparents, and Kara, Emma and I went to Olympic Park in Park City to ride the zipline.

Before we got to the zipline we passed skiers practicing their jumps into a pool and people jumping on trampolines (snowboarders?). They were pretty amazing to watch.

The pool would bubble up like this before they landed. I don't know why. I'm guessing it makes it easier/softer to land in.

Then we got to where they do the zip line. There were two. One was shorter than the other. We did the long one. It went all the way up where those two ramps on the right are. It would've been fun to go down together, but we had to take turns since Emma was with us.

Waiting for aunt Kara to come down the zip line.

Here she comes!

It was a really fun ride! Too bad it's over so fast.

There's an olympic museum there too that we checked out kind of quickly. Here's Kara in the bobsled. Coooool runnings!!!

Here's the 3 of us squished in the Luge! (there's my short hair straight)

At the end of her visit we made a stop at one our favorite local spots- the Smart Cookie. Mmmmm! It's an ice cream sandwich place where you get to pick your cookie and ice cream and they make you an ice cream sandwich. It's only $2 too! Genius idea whoever decided to start that shop. I wish I'd thought of it!
Here's us at the Smart Cookie chillin' on the Love Sac. (Doesn't Aiden look like a Baird in this picture? What a cute smile!)

We miss you already Kara! We had a lot of fun while you were here. Aiden's still asking about you. For some reason he kept calling her Natalie (one of my other sisters), but of course now that Kara's gone he's asking for her by the right name! Oh well.
We bought "Fat Boys" (delicious ice cream sandwiches made here in UT) while Kara was here, and Sunday Aiden and I finished off the last two. I bought Fat Boy Jrs. for aiden because they were the perfect size for him! Plus I don't think a regular one would fit in his mouth. So here's Aiden eating a mini one and me eating a regular size one. Oh man are they good!!! I think I have a new favorite treat.

Mmmmmm!

The end!
