Mamma Mia!

Let me just start by saying that I have the best husband ever! Today started out great, but about nap time it kind of fell apart. Aiden has been fighting me big time over naps. Some days are better than others, but today was one of the bad days. It took me 3 hours to get him to go to sleep! What am I doing wrong? (any tips on getting a toddler to take naps would be appreciated.) In the midsts of trying to get Aiden to stay in his bed, Emma was having a meltdown because we couldn't find one of the FOUR pacifiers we own and she has to have one to sleep. So I had to finally give up, temporarily, on trying to get aiden to sleep so we could drive to Target to buy new pacifiers. So after we get home I got emma to sleep with her new pacifier, and went back to trying to get Aiden to sleep. He finally got worked up enough that he wore himself out and fell asleep. This is not how it should have to be! It makes me feel like a bad mom, but if he doesn't get his nap it's worse (if that's possible!). So I try to stay firm, but it's sure hard. Oh and to top off that chaos our water was turned off from 10am till 5pm! (there's construction going on in our neighborhood) That means we couldn't go to the bathroom! (something I hadn't thought of when they warned us yesterday this would be happening.) So that was an added bonus to my stressful afternoon. Then when we got home from grocery shopping we were all tired and hungry, but apparently emma was more than the rest of us. I tried to make dinner as fast as I could while keeping the kids entertained with toys but emma kept crawling up to me and climbing up my leg crying for me to hold her! It was so sad and cute and frustrating all at the same time and I just wished Kart was home. I didn't have enough hands to do it all! SO- I finally finished dinner, got Emma fed and happy and Kart came home- yea!!! After hearing about my day he sent me off to do what ever I wanted - just to get away and get a break. So I decided to go see Mamma Mia and gorge myself on M&M's. It was just what I needed. And when I came home the kitchen was spotless and the kids were sound asleep! I love Kart. I really am "the luckiest" - so I dedicate to him...our wedding song. Take it away Ben Folds! (P.S. If I could do my wedding over I'd have a dress like hers- only more modest. SO CUTE!)

Here's what happened while I was away. (Kart asked aiden to put his pajama shirt on by himself)

What a funny boy! I sure do love him.
