Aiden's Birthday

Sorry this took me so long to post, but here it is...Aiden's birthday!

The night before I made him that "3" shirt. (ok, I bought the shirt at walmart and appliqued the 3 on there with some fabric) I love the colors and how it turned out. He loves the shirt too (yea!), so I was happy.

Kart and I bought him a tent for his birthday and I think he really likes it. He's been into fort making so I thought it would be perfect.

For lunch we met Ryan and Dara at Brick Oven in Provo.
Ryan is a great balloon artist and surprised Aiden with a balloon hat!
It was a complete coincidence that the colors of the balloons matched the shirt I made him! (very swedish!)

This is Aiden opening the gift Ryan and Dara gave him.

(Every time we would go to their apartment this is the first thing Aiden would go looking for, so they were kind enough to give it to him! He LOVES it.)

Waiting for our food...

After lunch they brought him a "lollypop sundae". (Basically an icecream sundae with a lollypop stuck in it.) He was in Heaven!
Time to go home and take naps!
They were definately tired.
While they slept I got things ready for the party that afternoon.

The goody bags I made. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but I found it on this awesome blog. They were pretty easy, except for the letters. But that's only because I'm new at the zigzag stich and appliques in general. It was fun learning how to do it though! I'm addicted now.

The "treats" inside.
(I made ABC coloring books from pictures I found here.)

I actually did cupcakes this year instead of a big cake and I'm sooo glad I did.
#1- much faster
#2- less stress
#3- they turned out so
cute and colorful!

After naptime we went to the park for snacks, cupcakes and playing on the playground with some friends and Aunt Dara.
After playing for a while it started raining all of a sudden, so we ran for the pavillion and almost left, but luckily it passed as quickly as it came. So we ate letter shaped tater tots, fruit salad, and cupcakes for dessert! Yum!
Then the kids were off again...

Bubbles.
playing around the sculpture.
One of Aiden's friends loved Emma!
She wasn't so sure about the affection though.
Overall I think he had a lot of fun! Thanks to every one who celebrated with us, and thanks to those of you that sent birthday wishes and gifts that couldn't be there. I think he felt really special!

Happy Birthday Aiden!!!
