the little red tie

Remember when I said I was going to make Aiden a tie from this great tutorial? Well last night I finally got around to finishing it! It wouldn't have taken me so long if I had one big block of time to dedicate to it, but of course that's not the life of a stay at home mom. So I worked on it on 3 different days while the kids slept. I'm so happy with how it turned out and I'm especially in love with the fabric I picked! Aiden loves red so I made sure to make it a red tie, and I think the vintage toy illustrations are so darling. I had fun learning how to slip stitch. Needle work is something I'd really like to learn more about. (my next project maybe) I didn't put the interfacing inside mine because for some reason it came out too short. In my opinion though it didn't need it. Don't be intimidated; try it yourself sometime! I DARE you. :)
