The kiddos

I thought it was time for an update on the kids.

Aiden:

• He's officially potty trained! It's been so great not having to worry about accidents anymore and only having one baby in diapers. Okay he's wearing diapers at night, but that's no biggie for me.
• He loves to sing and does it all the time. His favorites seem to be "Teach Me to Walk in the Light", "Jingle Bells", "The Show" but he calls it "I want my money back" (Lenka- He has great taste in music!), "Love One Antother" and "I Am a Child of God". He has the sweetest voice and one day I promise to tape it and post him singing. It'll melt your heart! I love that he already has a love of music. It makes me so happy that he loves to sing.
  
• Everyone says he sounds like he has a brittish accent. It's in his inflections. He just has a sweet way of speaking. I love listening to him.
  
• He recently learned how to use the pedals on his tricycle. I'm so proud of him! He loves loves loves to ride his bike and would do it all the time if I let him. He has what I call his "track". He rides in the same circle over and over. Down the sidewalk toward the next 4plex, turns where the sidewalk leads to that 4plex's stairs, turns right before the stairs and goes toward the parking lot between our 4plexes, back to our 4plex, then back to the sidewalk- repeat. He always says he's going to work "like daddy" and always makes sure to give me a kiss goodbye! If it's not work, then he's a trash man.
• 3 has been a fun year so far. He seems generally more happy and helpful.
  
• He can dress himself completely except for buttons and snaps. He can get most shoes on by himself but can't tie shoes yet.
• His favorite things to do are to play outside or go to grandma's house.
• He can buckle himself in his car seat totally by himself, but can't unbuckle it. (a good thing I suppose!)
  

Emma

• She loves to do anything Aiden does. She loves him! Because of him she insists on dressing herself and putting on her own seat belt! She can do the chest buckle but not the rest of it. She always puts both legs in one leg hole, when putting pants on, and then tries to walk like that! Every time!
• She's been signing and talking more and more everyday. She can sign cereal, more, please, milk and baby. She says momma, daddy, milk, drinkie (drink), wantsome, bike, teeth (when she wants her toothbrush), pool, momo (Nemo from Finding Nemo- her favorite movie) We're working on grandma and grandpa and Aiden, but no luck yet.
  
• She loves to run after aiden when he rides his bike.
  
• She likes playing in the water - in the tub or pool.
  
• She's obbsessed with milk. It's been harder to get her off the milk filled sippy cup at night than the pacifier- which she is completely off of now!
  
• She frequently still has breathing problems. We have her on an asthma controller medicine though and hopefully that'll keep things under control.
  
• She likes to dance with me and aiden- even in the car. We love car dancing!
  
• She's doing pretty well with a fork and a spoon now and usually feeds herself. But she doesn't eat much in a sitting. She's a snacker.
• I finally cut off her mullet/rat tail/little section of long hair in the back. It's all even now and I like it better. I saved it.
