A new week

Do you ever have one of those weeks where you're constantly getting clothes out of the dryer instead of actually taking all the clothes out and putting them away because you don't have time (or you're just feeling too lazy- probably more true)? That was me last week. The house was a wreck all week. I felt like my house exploded every where. When ever I let the kids do their own thing (because I'm trying to get stuff done) the house gets destroyed. Then I'm too tired to do anything about it. Cleaning has just been at the bottom of my to do list. This week has started off better though- thank goodness!

I'm trying to help organize the Checkered Umbrella Boutique, that's sneaking up on me very quickly, which is keeping me pretty busy. Last week I was trying to get a few more vendors, plus I was finishing up the design for our postcard mailers and trying to get them to the printer. It doesn't sound like a lot but if you consider the small windows of time being a stay at home mom allows, you can understand why that pretty much takes up all my free time. I've really been trying to not be attached at the hip to my computer and get out more with the kids. When I'm home it's hard not to constantly be checking my email or working on something "real quick". So I try my best to get out with the kids. No computer temptation and they have my full attention!

Today we took a walk. We live close enough to Target to walk there so I got to do three good things at once; get an errand done, get some exercise, and get the kids outside. They love riding in our bike trailer and I can use it as a stroller too (which I did today). I just took the trailer in target and used it as my cart. I was a little nervous the employees would give me weird looks, but no one seemed to care. The best part about my Target trip was that they had a killer deal on kids clothes- lots of 50% off stuff. I got my daughter some shorts for $1.75! (ok those were 75% off) Go check out target and stock up on some good stuff. Then when we got home I fed the kids lunch and put them in bed for naps, and as soon as they were asleep and I sat down to relax with my lunch UPS arrived with my new I Pod Touch! It came free when I got my new Mac Book Pro laptop. (My husband's back in school which means I can't use his laptop anymore and needed my own) It was a great start to my day! The rest of the day went pretty well too. Definitely productive, and the house stayed clean! (for the most part) I just have to keep this up.

I'd like to plan fun activities to do with the kids every day, because if I plan it it's more likely to happen. I'm also going to try exercising more. I think walking is a good choice because the kids love it and I enjoy it. (at least while the weather's still warm) I'd also like to start doing yoga again. It's amazing how great I feel after doing yoga. I just have to modify it a little since I'm pregnant.

Well here's to a new week with renewed goals! I think it's going to be good.
