Planting a garden!

A kind neighbor with a BIG garden (make that 2 gardens!) is letting a friend and I use some of her garden plot to plant our own vegetables, and she's going to teach us about gardening. I'm hoping she'll teach me how to can too because I'm pretty sure I'll have more produce than we can eat right away. I'd really like to make pizza/pasta sauce, and salsa.

I bought stuff for a salsa garden (two kinds of tomatoes, green, orange and yellow bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, onions) yellow summer squash, butternut squash, zucchini, carrots, green beans and eggplant. We're going to have lots of delicious produce to harvest in a few months! I can't wait!! The kids are really excited to help me plant tomorrow. I even got them their own gloves. It'll be fun to plant with them. They had a blast each pulling a wagon, collecting vegetable plants to buy. It's good for them to have an understanding of where their food comes from. I love that are so excited about it. I just hope it's not too cold tomorrow to plant.
