Owen's started signing finally! Yea! He can sign "more", "please", "all done", and "bye bye" and "no" (shaking his head). I'm still working on getting him to vocally say mama. He thinks I want him to pat his chest because I'm always patting mine when I'm saying mama. So that's a start, but not quite what I was hoping for. He can say Aiden! (let the record show that "uh oh" was his first word and Aiden was his first name that he could say) I just wish he'd say mama or daddy. Oh well. I know he will.
He's really becoming steady on his feet, and fast! He walks all over the house and outside. He can get down the stairs (crawling backward) and down from the couch or beds. He's getting so chunky too. If we put him in his carseat or taking him out of his crib and he doesn't have his pacifier he looks around and says Uh oh! It's so cute. I can't wait to hear him really start talking- in sentences. I know that's not going to be soon, but I'm looking forward to it.
Aiden is enjoying his cowboy and policeman toys that his aunt natalie gave him for his birthday. He loves to lock people up in jail with his handcuffs. He's been practicing his letters with me, getting ready for kindergarten. I can't believe how soon he'll be in school. I hope he loves it. Something else he recently mastered in preparation for kindergarten is wiping himself after going to the bathroom! This is so great for me. Not a fun job, and one I'm glad I don't need to help him with anymore.
Emma (and Aiden) loves riding her bike around the church parking lot across the street from our house. Emma's really good at using her new bike. She loves to be silly and make us laugh and show us her "tricks".
