What is Pintrest?

Pintrest. I'm addicted as much to it, as I am to Facebook. I check it multiple times a day to see what's new. I'm such a visual person, so for me it's just this visual feast of ideas for ALL areas of my life. I can't get enough! For those of you who aren't aware of what Pintrest is, let me try to explain. You know how people have inspiration boards; collections of images that inspire them or they want to remember? Well it's like an online version of that. If you find an image of a recipe you'd like to try, or an outfit you love, or a space you envy, a craft you want to try, or anything else you see a picture of you want to save, you pin it by clicking on the "Pin It" link they give you to put on your internet task bar and it saves the image to your Pintrest account. You choose which "board" (categories that you create) to pin it to, and then when you go back to your account all your images are organized into categories/boards for you to view and the images link back to their original source! You can also view things other people have pinned and if you like something, you can click the "repin" button on the image to put it on one of your boards. You can also follow people's pins (like mine!), and what they pin will show up in your Pintrest feed. It's so much fun. I think the biggest reason I'm addicted though is because it's a great way to find inspiration for decorating and organizing your home- which I'm in the process of doing. Anyway...check it out! You do have to be invited (I don't know why) so if you need an invite I can send you one if you give me your email.

  1. I'm starting to get into it too! It's kind of fun, so I do have to try to limit myself, and not try to fill hundreds of boards right away. It's like what we used to do in the old days with notebooks and sears catalogs. I should probably make myself do at least one of the ideas a week. (Especially recipes).
