This weekend we were so excited for our kids to finally meet their only cousins! Kart's brother and sister-in-law were visiting from Washington state and brought their kids with them. They're been foster parents to them for almost a year and are in the process of adopting both of them (a little one year old girl and a 3 year old boy) Talk about jumping into parenting feet first! I'm sure going from no kids to two kids at once is no easy task, but they do it
beautifully! I felt like I learning a lot of good parenting techniques from watching them. They're so patient and calm! It was inspiring to watch. I resolved to be more like that.
Well we all had fun getting to know them better this weekend and one of the things they got to do together at Grandma's house was painting pumpkins. She let them pick out their own, and Aiden picked the biggest one in the bunch and Emma picked the smallest one! Owen just wanted to paint himself. He already gave himself a dirt bath earlier that night so I didn't care. He was going into the tub anyway. They all had a blast! And it was fun to watch. I'm always inspired by their art. I love it!
Happy October!
Cute pictures, Laura. So...Aiden's a little Picasso, Emma's looks impressionistic, and Owen's a tattoo artist.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love it. (I hope his body art stay strictly washable though!)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I need to get some paint; Tanner would love that.
