My second youngest sister, Kara, left a couple weeks ago for the MTC. She came from VA where she was living with my parents, and stayed with me and with my youngest sister Natalie for a couple days before leaving. The last morning she was here a few of her friends, Natalie, Kart and the kids and I went to The Foundry Grill for breakfast as a last hurrah. It was a good choice; the food was delicious!
The pancakes were bigger than Emma's head! I had to take a picture.
Only a tiny sampling of the Kara Baird fan club! :) Count me in as a member.
Kara's friend Kira and her husband have some very big, very friendly dogs. Can you believe two of those are puppies? The other is the mom.
THAT'S where Emma gets her smile!
This was the last time I would see Kara because I couldn't go drop her off at the MTC. I had to take Aiden to school and volunteer in his class that day. It was so nice to spend a few more hours with her though. I'm really going to miss her! She's such a fun, happy person, full of spontaneity and spirituality. I know she's going to be a great missionary. I've only heard from her once but I'm looking forward to hearing more. Sounds like there's a possibility she could be singing in a missionary choir at General Conference! I hope she does. That'd be fun to see her on tv. After the MTC she's off to Nauvoo Illinois to be a missionary tour guide. I might meet up with the rest of my family sometime this summer to go visit her. Apparently that's allowed. That would be really fun! Well, until then I'm excited to talk to her on Mother's Day which is just around the corner.
Happy Mission Sister Baird!
I love you.
