my sweet and simple life: Brian Head

I can't believe we've been married for 9 years and this was our first time snowboarding together! Kart and I had such a fun trip this weekend at Brian Head Resort with my sister Kara and her boyfriend Ryan, and my sister Beth and her boyfriend Aaron. Ryan hooked us up with discounted lift tickets, rentals and a free lodge above the equipment rental shop. He sells Never Summer snowboards so he has a lot of good connections. Snowboarding was....hard! Beth and I are not good snowboarders at all, Kara's fairly good, and the boys are all pretty experienced snowboarders. But luckily Beth and I had good teachers. Kart and Ryan spent a lot of time helping us and Kara helped beth a lot too. I wish we'd had more than a day on the slopes to practice. I was just starting to feel like I was getting the hang of the basics by the end of the day but I was pretty banged up too. I fell hard several times on my knees, butt and wrists. My last run left me in tears because I fell and it was the last straw. I couldn't take another fall. Luckily it was time to go anyway. Despite the pain, it was overall a great day.

Our first night there we ate at Centro, a pizza place that we discovered has amazing Nutella dessert pizza!! We went back the next night just for more Nutella pizza! I unfortunately didn't get a good picture of the Nutella pizza because the lighting was bad, plus we ate it up pretty fast. But this is what was left of our dinner pizzas.
