Spokane or bust

Winter is always long here in Utah, so I was so excited to get out of the house and go on a family road trip to Spokane Washington to see Kart's brother Kameron and his wife Emily's new baby Mason. They've been trying for 10 years to have a baby and after they recently adopted 2 kids, the Lord finally decided it was time! We LOVE their adopted kids but it was so fun to see what their baby, a combo of the two of them, looks like. And boy is he a cutie! We caravanned up to Washington with kart's parents and siblings. They borrowed our second van (did I mention we have TWO now?! That's for another post.) and we had fun road tripping it with them. It was a long drive but my kids love to road trip. I felt like I did a much better job packing and organizing the car this time. I just did one plastic tub full of car activities (instead of individual backpacks) and I wrapped dollar store gifts for "car prizes" to hand out when ever we would make stops. The kids loved that! Hanging out in spokane was fun. Emily and I took the kids to a local children's museum and we all visited the waterfront park with the antique carousel, sculptures and waterfalls. We ate well and just enjoyed hanging out together. Here's a photographic peek into our trip there and back!

  1. I'm so excited to see a new blog post from you! Glad I checked tonight. I love seeing the pictures from your trip. (I discovered chocolate covered potato chips at Trader Joes too! Pretty darn good!)
