Last month I took Aiden to get his first haircut by someone other than me. I found out about this kid hair cutter place called "Cookie Cutters" up in Draper UT. It sounded so cute so I was really excited when Aiden's hair was long enough to go try it out. It was something fun for him to do and helped get us out of the house- always a good thing! My friend Megan and her daughter Miley came along too. Here's some pictures from our trip:

This playground equipment was in the salon! There was a slide that let out by the hair cutting chairs. Of course Aiden was instantly drawn to the steering wheel!

Our cute baby girls...Emma and Miley!

Emma had a good time!

All the chairs were vintage planes, cars or trucks. I loved it! So did Aiden, because he got to drive AND watch Little Einsteins at the same time! There are TV's at each station and before you sit down you get to pick your movie. So of course we picked Aiden's favorite- "June" which means Little Einsteins. I think he was more into driving than the video though.

They put the shield on backwards so it snaps in the front like a cape! I thought that was a good idea. Very cute! The woman that cut his hair did a great job! She worked fast and understood exactly what I wanted and was really great with Aiden.

Is this the spikey hairstyle you're afraid of Dad?
This is after she finished the sides and was getting ready to trim the top.

All done!
Doesn't he look hansome?! I was really happy with it.

When you're done they give the child a balloon attached to a cookie cutter. He got a shamrock cookie cutter. I really love this place! I'm looking forward to taking him again. I CAN do it myself, but if I can get a fun experience out of it I'd rather take him here to do it.
Next stop in Draper was Ikea!
I had to buy some things for our apartment. That was the day I bought fabric to make our curtains out of and some rods to hang with, hooks and meatballs & sauce for dinner.

Apparently it was an exhausting day for miss Emma, because I looked down and saw she had fallen asleep in my arms! Poor tired girl!

So we layed her down in our cart.

Aiden was getting bored so I let him watch Little Einseins on my Ipod.
We went home pretty soon after that. It was a fun but long day!
