3 trips in one!

March 19th to the 26th I flew with both the kids (alone!) to Virginia. It was really three trips in one. I went to see my family, have a reunion with a couple of friends from my home ward, and to see my friend April get married! It was a lot of fun, minus the traveling part. I survived the plane rides with 2 kids under 2 but it wasn't easy. On the way there we took a middle of the night flight in hopes that they would both sleep the whole time. A risk I shouldn't have taken! Aiden only slept an hour, Emma slept a little and I didn't sleep at all! Note to self: never do that again. The flight home was a little better. It was a late afternoon flight. He was more rested so he wasn't so difficult. (he gets really silly or really crabby when he doesn't get enough sleep.) We walked the isles a lot and the very nice stewardess let aiden open and shut the doors on the drink carts that were stored in the galley. I even got to watch some tv in peace while aiden watched "Little Einstiens" a few times on my ipod! It was nice.

The trip was short but we had fun being with my family and I enjoyed seeing friends I haven't seen in a while. Aiden instantly gravitated to my brother ryan. They were best friends while we were there. If Ryan was around Aiden was by his side! It was pretty sweet. Emma's not sure about anyone but me. She's such a mama's girl right now. Although she seemed to do okay with Grandma. When we first got there though I handed her to my dad and she started to bawl, which upset aiden and he started bawling! It took everything I had to finally get them both to stop crying, because they kept setting each other off! I don't know if it was because of that experience but Aiden was always a little cautious around my dad after that. Poor Grandpa! I know next time they'll be good friends.

Aprils wedding was beautiful. It was really far south though. It was a three hour drive from my parents house! It was worth it though. Amazing food, and good times catching up with her and other friends.

My reunion with my friends was fun too. We met up in DC at this place called the Love Cafe. I had the most amazing sandwich there! It sort of tasted like a cheesy fajita on delicious bread. If you're ever in DC make sure to stop there for lunch. Then go to dicky's frozen custard for dessert. You won't be sorry! After that we spent the night at my friend Lynn's apartment in MD and ate and talked and watched a movie. Then the next day we spent a night at my parents house and drove down to see April's wedding the next morning. Our reunion was short and sweet!

It was over Easter weekend so Aiden got to do some fun easter things with my family. He dyed easter eggs, decorated easter sugar cookies, and had a little easter egg hunt. He didn't really get into the easter egg hunt. He didn't see the point in looking for more eggs when he had one with candy in his hand that he could eat! Oh well. I think he's had enough candy the last 2 weeks to last him a long time!

Well here's the pictures I have. I'm still waiting to get the ones taken by other people. Hope you enjoy!

Aiden's face of dissapointment when he realizes he cracked his egg is so sad! I think he really enjoyed dunking the eggs in all the different colors. He sure made quite the mess!
