Thanksgiving Point

We went to Thanksgiving Point's Children's Discovery Gardens last week. Last time we went we never looked beyond the big Noah's arch fountain, so this time we made sure to discover it all! It was a lot of fun. Aiden played in the fountain for a while when we first got there. That area got pretty crowded so we moved on to see what else there was to see.

There was a small cave/tunnel that you can walk through with a statue of a big bear inside. Then Aiden discovered the rocks... and he was a happy guy! He just likes picking them up and throwing them back on the ground. (What was it dad- a rock, stick and string were all you had right? Bare essentials to keep a young boy entertained!) Then we came across a mini light house.
You can climb up to the top and look out. Aiden didn't make it up to the top.
We passed by this really pretty scene of lilly pads and flowers floating on the water! Then we found this little house where you can do crafts and play, and since everyone was at the fountain we were the only ones in there!

The girl running it helped Aiden make a caterpillar out of construction paper. He thought that was fun for a few loops and then got bored and went off to see what else there was to do.

He found the puppet show play house.
He had fun making the puppets talk.

While he played I finished his cute little catapillar.
I love this place! I'm glad we did more this time; it was fun. :)
