Biking

Kart loves to ride his mountain bike, and has been wanting us to all go on a family bike ride. The only problem is that Kart's the only one who has a bike. So a couple weeks ago we went to BYU's Outdoors Unlimited and rented a bike for me and a trailer for the kids. We took the bikes up to the mouth of Provo canyon and rode up the canyon's bike trail. It was a lot of fun. The only problem was that my bike had major gear issues. We rode it in the shop but didn't check it well enough or we never would've taken it. It was awful! There were only 2 gears it would work in, and even in those it wasn't great. Oh well. It was kind of our fault because we did get to test out the bike first. Now we know for next time to test all the gears! Even with our bike problem we still had a good time. We stopped and had a picnic for lunch and then rode back. Kart wasn't quite done (I pooped out quickly because my endurance is lousy!) so he and Aiden went back out on the trail for another hour and Emma and I went home to take naps! Maybe next summer we'll own our own trailer and bike for me and we can do trips like this more often. It was so fun!

The kids loved the ride. Emma kept falling asleep. We had to put the blanket between them so Emma wouldn't be leaning on Aiden (which would make Aiden angry)
