I can't believe how fast the first year of Emma's life flew by! It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny helpless newborn, and now she's almost a toddler and is crawling all over the house! (she's still in the process of learning how to walk- she walks along furniture.) Tuesday we celebrated her 1st birthday with Kart's family. It was a lot of fun! I'm so grateful the Lord sent us Emma. She's such a joy to have around. She's so easy to make smile and when she smiles it's contagious! And her little giggle is so funny. I love tickling her just to hear her laugh! Aiden's good at getting her to laugh too. She loves her brother. I think they're going to be great friends as they get older. She's getting some major personality. She can't sit still for more than 2 minutes! The girl has ants in her pants. She refuses to sit in grocery carts, high chairs, or any where for long. If she can crawl away she will! She's really babbling a lot and is a very vocal eater. There's a lot of "nyum num num"-ing going on while she chews- especially if she likes it! If she doesn't like something she'll push it away or get loud. She signs "more", and can wave if we bug her to. Still no first word, but hopefully she'll start talking soon. She's now 20 lbs and 28 inches and finally in the average percentiles. Well here's some pictures from the party we threw her!

...but aiden was excited and blew it out. Oh well!

(It even got in her hair! yuck.)I almost forgot to give her the present we got her!
She loved it.
Aiden's sweet grandparents gave aiden a gift too. The Barnetts gave him a swimming Nemo for the tub, and the Bairds gave him a toy cell phone like the one they gave Emma. He loved both!
Kelby had just as much fun with Aiden's toys as Aiden did! :)
