shucking corn

My parents were here visiting from Virginia for a week; which is always a treat because we don't get to see them much. I always love the chance to spend time with them, but the other perk of having them here is my Dad's cooking! He loves to cook and I love to eat his cooking, so when he offered to make ribs for dinner one night I was ecstatic! I contributed by making potato salad and the kids helped us shuck corn. It was fun watching them try to pull the husk of the cob- I just had to grab my camera.

PS- the ribs were amazing by-the-way! (and so was the coleslaw he made)
