My oldest is officially 4!
We started off the day with a trip to Maceys to get doughnuts.
He got his favorite kind- one with sprinkles!

We spent the rest of the day making the kitchen messy baking his birthday cake.
Double chocolate buttermilk cake with a chocolate whipped cream filling.
Yum!
Then we had a party at Grandmas.
Hamburgers and hot dogs and lots of other delicious things.
Lots of balloons and presents awaited him.
Lucky boy!

Don't you just love those candles?
I do.

The kids played pin the tail on the donkey...

...and roasted marshmallows.

Time for cake and presents.
Emma was quick to start blowing as soon as the song ended and she got one candle out for him.

Aiden took care of the rest.

A very happy birthday boy.

He got a lot of great gifts from some generous family members.
Clothes, money (as he requested), a bug box and butterfly nets (they're really into bugs these days), fruit snacks, a book on polar bears, a flash light, moon sand and a foam airplane.
Kart and I got him a doctor kit and the kids had a blast giving daddy a check up.

All in all it was a great day and I think he had a lot of fun.
I can't believe he's already four. He's so much fun. I love having him in our family! He's so full of life and creativity. He's so funny and imaginative. He can be stubborn, but he's really a sweetheart that wants to do the right thing. I love him so much. I can't wait to see what his future holds.
Happy birthday Aiden.
I sure love that sweet boy! It looks like everyone had a great day. I especially love Emma pinning the tail on the donkey. That cake looks sooo delicious. Want to share the recipe?
