Engine 4

Last fall some friends of mine and I decided to start a preschool that we each take turns teaching once a week. It's been a fun thing for the kids to,
and a good break for me on the weeks I don't teach.

A couple weeks ago they all took a field trip to a fire station.
My kids loved it- especially Aiden! He was in HEAVEN.

They got to tour the fire house and see where they sleep and eat.
Then they got to sit in the ambulance.
(see how happy he is!)
Then they showed the kids all the parts of the fire engine.
Aiden was always front and center.
Then one of the fire fighters came out in all their gear to show them all the stuff they wear, how they breath and their alarms that go off to help other fire fighters find them when it's smokey.
They like to do all this so that if the kids are ever in a fire they won't be scared when they see a fire fighter, but know that they're there to help them.
Aiden sure wasn't scared of him. He loved him!
They also got to try sitting in the driver seat of the fire engine.
Owen had a good time too.
Emma enjoyed it but was a little nervous about it all-
especially the fire fighter in his gear.
(I guess their plan didn't work on her.)
Loving life!
