Summerfest

Every summer the carnival comes to town along with food & craft vendors, musical & dance performances, a parade and fireworks to top it all off. They call it Summerfest and it's lots of fun. The kids are finally old enough to get excited about it, and as soon as they saw the carnival rides going up when we drove by one day they couldn't stop talking about riding on "the steering wheel" (ferris wheel). So we made sure we went this year & they loved it! I have to admit I was excited to go too. The fair always makes me feel like a kid again. I love the smell of funnel cake and riding on the ferris wheel and the merry go round. Kart could've done with out the rides but he was a good sport about holding owen while I did the ferris wheel with the kids.

They had free crafts for the kids to do so they decorated these visors.

Owen watched while the kids rode the boat ride.

And of course we rode the ferris wheel! It was so fun. The kids loved the feeling of free falling every time we'd come up over the top. It went fairly fast. They'd laugh every time!

That night, after the kids were in bed, Kart and I along with our neighbors watched the fireworks from our front porch. I love all the fun events that go on during the summer months. I can't wait to go again next year.
