bucket lists at 1am

What is it about the late hours of the evening? For some reason I get very ambitious at night. I love to make goals and plan projects to start...tomorrow. But when tomorrow comes the day's tasks seem too daunting to fit it all in.  I need to be a better time manager, commit to doing things and then be fearless enough to just follow though (and not goof off so I can fit it all in).

I've been a big fan of Mindy Gledhills music for a couple years now, and I've wanted her "Anchor" album forever.  Yesterday I finally said, enough, and just bought it. I don't feel like I can usually justify music purchase with all that pandora has to offer but I felt like this purchase had been put off long enough.  I've been listening to the album constantly since I bought it.  It just makes me happy!  The lyrics are uplifting and her voice is so sweet. There's one song in particular that I've found inspiring. It's called "Whole Wide World".     Just listen....

It made me think about what I do that makes me happy and what things I'd like to do before I die.  I want to live life more fearlessly and just go for it, instead of letting the fear of failure or it not going perfectly the first time stop me.  So I started a list; just for fun mostly.  It's a basically a "bucket list". Here's some of the things I jotted down late last night...

go on a cruise
visit a tropical island
visit go on a European vacation and visit as many countries as possible
finish my art degree
raise happy, confident, independent children
go on at least four adventure dates a year with Kart
own a home with enough room for all of us plus an art studio, a playroom/reading room and a soundproof music room
gallop on a horse
be able to snowboard confidently down the mountain
go on a cross country road trip with Kart and the kids and have lots of fun stops along the way
visit every state at least once
hike the Y and Timpanogos before leaving utah
sew a skirt
create a successful business (food or handmade goods related)
create the perfect chocolate and vanilla cake recipes
paint 100 paintings (within a year's time)
eat Belgian chocolate and waffles in Belgium...again.
be in a farmers market.
take a dance class (hiphop or modern)
own a piano and be able to play all the hymns
visit Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle
be featured in a magazine
be on tv
visit napal
go on a service trip (could be here in the US or in another country)
ride on a horse drawn sleigh in the snow with blankets and hot chocolate
drink a "Nantucket Nectar" in Nantucket
go scuba diving

Some of those probably sound silly, and some of the more personal ones I left out, but I'd love for all of them to come true. Like I said...I'm ambitious at night. I'm sure I'll think of more, but for now that's plenty to work toward.
