The last time I went to a school carnival was when my now 19 year old sister was in elementary school, so I was actually really looking forward to Aiden's school carnival today. The kids have been looking forward to it all week, and we all had a lot of fun! We got their faces painted first because I knew that the line would get long quickly. Emma got the "princess" look and Aiden got a spider. They both loved their painted faces.
There were musical performances at the carnival, and I thought this group of boys singing Bob Marley's "3 little birds" were awesome! They're students in the "Modern School of Music". What a great idea to have a music school dedicated to little rock stars.
They were so cute!
This kid is much too heavy to carry around so he got to ride in the stroller!
He had his first cotton candy and loved it. Emma wouldn't eat it. She said she didn't like it! I couldn't believe it. I think it was a texture thing, but I don't know. I thought it was actually some of the best cotton candy I've ever had!
The kids did a few activities, like put-put golf, the fish pond, a hayride, and the bouncy house, but they seemed to like the train ride the best.
When we left the carnival, Aiden said, "Mom, this has been a fun day!". I love seeing him so happy. He's really been enjoying his experience at school and says he's been making friends. I love seeing him say hello to his classmates. There was one boy who he knew that sat with Aiden while he got his shoes back on after being in the bouncy house. The boy handed Aiden his shoes and socks. He was so sweet! It was so great to see he's becoming friends with such nice kids. I'm glad we got him in this school. His teacher is great, he's already showing improvement in his work, and the students seem like good kids. I'm impressed so far. I just wish I knew the other moms at the school. Because we don't live in the boundaries, none of my neighbors kids go there. Oh well. Maybe I'll get to know some of them eventually.

My kids loved seeing the picks of them at the carnival. And Cameron actually said, "Owen and Owie" and not "Odie". Haha! He is making improvements. Anyway, I'm so glad you guys had fun at the carnival. Looks like there were so many cool things to do.
