My kids got to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house tonight, which means Kart and I got to go on a date! His birthday was last Sunday but we didn't really get to go out to celebrate until tonight. After waffling between several different restaurants we both agreed on Pizzeria 712 in Orem. We love that place. It's classy but casual, they always have really cool art on display, and nothing but the highest quality, fresh, and often local, ingredients.
I almost always stick with water when we're out to eat, because drinks are a rip off. But today we had a little extra to spend so I decided to try something new. I ordered the Rose Lemonade. It was so good! [POST EDIT] But I have to say, I just found out that although it's considered non-alcoholic on the menu, it does have a small amount of alcohol in it. (less than 0.5% per volume) I guess the "botanically brewed" should've been my first clue- opps! Well now I know. I saved the glass bottle because I think it's so cool, especially the label. The pizza was pretty awesome too. I had a summer squash pizza. Yum! Then we scored some sweet deals at Borders (which was lucky because it was extremely picked over), and got dessert at a new crepe place called Roll Up Crepes. It was a cute restaurant and the crepes were delicious. I'd like to come back on their open mic night.
It was just fun to have a night with my sweetie all to myself! I love Kart so much. I feel so lucky to have such a loving, patient, appreciative, hard working and fun husband. He really is the best! I'm grateful to my in-laws for making our time alone possible this weekend. It was a fun night!
