So I feel like Halloween really threw my week off. Someone needs to make Halloween always on a friday. That would be great. I don't like it being on a monday. I felt like I was playing catch up all week. I was so busy helping in Aiden's classroom twice this week (thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law and my sister Natalie- who always comes to my rescue when I need a babysitter!), and then the rest of the week, any free time I had was spent on preparing for Super Saturday (a big craft day we did for Relief Society) and a baby shower I was going to bring treats and a gift to (both were scheduled the same day!). And of course there were all the household things I had to take care of too- making meals and cleaning. Because I was busy, I didn't go to my work out group at the church all week, which I regret, but I am definitely starting up again this week. I needed that time in the mornings though. Going to workout really sucks up my whole morning. It's hard, but I need to go and just figure out how to make the rest of my day more productive. I should probably get up earlier...and go to bed earlier so I can.
Anyway, in the end everything turned out great. I had a blast at our Super Saturday and really appreciate everyone who helped on my committee and especially all those who came and participated. I love seeing every one being creative and making the projects their own. I was in charge of helping people with this project. Making "NOEL" blocks. Kart was so awesome to cut all the wood for us!
I'm really happy with how mine turned out. I brought lots of different papers and colors to choose from and it was fun to see what people made. I'm excited to display mine at Christmas time...and maybe make some more.
The other project I did (Just participated in, not in charge of) was this "Give Thanks" banner. I love this project too. I've been wanting more Thanksgiving/fall decorations. So I'm glad to have something to add to my collection now. I like fall themed decorations more than the spooky Halloween stuff. Partly because once Halloween is over you have to take it down but this stuff can be up until christmas decorations come out.
I hope all of you are getting as excited for the holidays as I am.
Happy November!
