Lillian

My brother Ryan and his wife Dara had their first baby in December and named her Lillian.

She's such a cute, sweet girl and I loved getting to hold her! Ryan and Dara are doing a great job as parents. The newborn stage is a hard one, but it has it's highlights too.  They're so good about going on walks with the baby and staying positive. I'm looking forward to watching Lillian grow. 

As part of my Christmas present to them I did a photo shoot of Lillian.  It was tricky because I ended up doing it on a dark rainy day- not ideal for indoor window lighting.  But despite the conditions we got several cute shots! Newborn shoots are time consuming but fun. I'm glad I could capture this stage of her life.  Sleeping babies are the sweetest thing, and somehow help us forget the hard parts of parenting. :)

I made that headband & I love how it turned out! If you want to try making one too here's the tutorial for the flower.  I just added the felt leaf and elastic headband.
