Happy Birthday to...

Today Owen turned 2 and I turned the big 3-0!  It was a very laid back, do nothing, kind of day.  It was great.  I didn't stress over throwing Owen a party this year. He's not going to care or remember, so this year we just celebrated as a family at home. Kart made us all breakfast. I don't like having breakfast in bed alone (I like to be with everyone) so I had breakfast on the couch while the kids were playing in our balloon forest in the living room! (kart bought 20 balloons and they had a blast playing with them- especially Owen)

 The kids had yogurt and waffles and I got bacon, eggs, toaster strudel (a favorite of our that we only buy on special occasions because we love it but it's so not good for you.) and yogurt with orange juice! YUM.

 And the delicious breakfast was made even better by watching one of my favorite shows while I ate! (The Big Bang Theory)

 After nap time and play time we brought home Sonic for the kids to eat for dinner and Grandpa came over to watch the kids while Kart and I went to La Jolla Grove for Dinner.  It was great to get to go out alone with Kart.  Then we got to skype with our good friends who moved. It was the perfect way to end the day.  A good day. 

The kids were SO excited about getting corn dogs for dinner.

 (This year I painted his number shirt.  I can't decided which I like better.)

Owen wasn't in the mood for pictures.  He just wanted more of his berry lemonade slushy. 

It was a low-key, but fun day.  And we have more celebrating to do tomorrow with our family. I can't wait! I still need to tell you about yesterday's surprise party Kart threw me but I'm waiting on pictures for that. It was so awesome! Kart's the best; I sure love him!
