The first friday of every month downtown Provo has some awesome events going on. Normally they just have the gallery stroll (you walk to different shops and galleries downtown to check out local art exhibits. Kart and I love it.) but in the summer they add the Rooftop Concert Series (which I haven't been to yet, but hope to next month. Sounds so awesome!) and starting last month they held a dance walk down center street. When I heard about the dance walk I knew I had to be there! I could just tell it was going to be a blast- and I was right!
Kart couldn't come, but I brought the kids and met two of my friends, Anna and Alisha, and their families there and we had so much fun just dancing down the streets of Provo with a big group of people all having fun with us! (Just in case you're wondering- the people dressed as fruit and veggies were there to promote the farmers market) There was a golf cart leading the way that carried a sound system playing the music we danced to.
The next dance walk should be next friday and I can't wait! Dancing makes me so happy! I'm hoping this time Kart can come and we can make a date of it. Downtown Provo is really getting better and better every year. The events, the restaurants, shops, and art/music scene are improving all the time. It's a great time to live here! And the summers here are the best. The weather is amazing and there are lots of fun events to check out. If you live here, come to the First Friday events!
