farewell friends

Did I mention that our best friends/neighbors moved out last month.  Off to Austin to get a PHD- bigger and better things . They left us alone in the duplex. (Their apt. is now filled with a family of adult siblings from the Dominican Republic and they are never home because they're at work all day. Not ideal neighbors for us, but they're friendly enough. I was just really hoping for a family with young kids.) I really am happy for them. I know great things will come for them.  We just miss them!

Well I just found these pictures of our last week together.  We decided to get out of the house and let the kids play at the McDonalds playplace in Provo and Hillary treated us to dinner. The kids wanted their picture with Ronald...

What cute kids!

Then moving day.  The BIG truck that they paid to drive their stuff to TX for them.
So much better than having to drive a U-Haul.

Their couch had broken in a couple places from people plopping down on it too hard, and being the fine craftsman that he is, Kart offered to fix it up for them.  He took it to the wood shop and in just a few hours took the back panel off and replaced the wood beams that had broken with new thicker pieces and reinforced it in places he felt were weak.  He put it back together and you couldn't even tell he took it apart! I'm glad it was a successful surgery. :)
Here's papa Molyneux and Kart getting it in the moving truck.

And then they were gone.  We put off saying our goodbyes till the last possible second, but it didn't really feel like goodbye.  It was more like see you later, because that's really what it is.
