It's official; I have a first grader!
He just finished his first week of school and it sounds like he is liking it. It was so weird to pack his lunch. I never had to do that when he was in Kindergarten. I can't believe he's in full day school already. I met his teacher very briefly at back to school night and she seems pretty nice. I hope I'll get to know her a little more during the school year. I mostly hope that she'll be able to keep Aiden interested in what they're learning and motivated to keep trying new things, even when they're hard. And I hope I can do my part at home to help him enjoy whatever it is he'll be learning. Full day school hasn't been too hard for him, and he says he likes eating in the lunch room and is so proud of his new blue lunch box.
Summer just flew by, and fall is just around the corner. Which, for me, means I'm thinking about Christmas and holiday stuff already. Which means I feel like the year is practically over! But I love the fall so I'm looking forward to what's to come.
Kart's starting school tomorrow and he only has TWO semesters to go. For real. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! So if all goes well, come next summer we'll be free from being tied down to orem and UVU and can explore bigger and better job opportunities! (maybe even buy a house!) I love it here but would be open to living many other places. But only the Lord knows what's in store for us and I'm excited to see what the future brings. Have a happy school year everyone!
