families can be together forever

In July we had the honor of witnessing Kart's brother Kameron and his wife Emily be sealed to their daughter Katie.  (They were her foster parents and were recently given permission by the birth parents to adopt her.) We got to see Luke sealed to them last January, and both Luke's and Katie's sealing were so special to be a part of.  I was especially excited to go because they chose to have it done in the Manti Temple, and it was my first time going there.  I've always wanted to go inside.  I loved it! It was so beautiful inside and huge!  It's pretty beautiful on the outside too.
While they were outside waiting for Emily's sister-in-law to take pictures of them, I snagged a few pictures myself.  They were all so glowing and happy!  I'm so happy for them.

Luke's a wild man and we love him! He's a funny boy.

They keep Kam on his toes!

It was a gorgeous day and the temple grounds were so beautiful.  I loved the flowers.
My kids exploring the big hill.
(and probably rolling down in their sunday clothes)

Katie was my first niece if you count the time they were foster parents to her; which I do.
I love her and am so glad she's part of our family.  She's a sweetie.
Owen and Emma waiting with Grandma before we headed off to dinner.
Two of the very handsome men in my life!
We went to dinner at a pizza place that had a candy shop too.  Owen was trying to make his way to the candy and convinced uncle Kelby to buy him some!

One of the main reasons they adopted these children was that they have struggled with fertility problems for the last 10 years and really wanted children.  So they decided to try the foster care program and were blessed to get Katie, and then Luke not long after, and several months later were able to adopt both of them. Then we all got a huge surprise when a few weeks after they were sealed, we found out that Emily is pregnant! Amazing!  God really does have a plan for each of us and I'm sure he knew that these kids needed to be in Kameron and Emily's home.  That probably wouldn't have happened if they hadn't had infertility problems.  I know the Lord sees the bigger picture and has a plan for each of us.  Even if it doesn't seem to make sense at the time.  I think everyone who knows Kam and Em are so excited for them and their family, and I can't wait to meet my new nephew in December!
